A 49-year-old woman had been treated with multiple medications for severe migraines, menopausal symptoms, and chronic insomnia for several years but had limited relief of her symptoms.
After the first acupuncture treatment, the patient’s migraines reduced in frequency and intensity, and she was able to discontinue use of her migraine medications after her eighth treatment. Subsequently, her menopausal symptoms and chronic insomnia resolved.
